Hi, I’m Maeve.

After being diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2008, I tried various healing modalities to ease my physical pain. On a whim, I signed up for yoga teacher training and became a Registered Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance in 2009. Five years later, I became a certified Y12SR (Yoga of 12-Step Recovery) instructor.

Experience

Over the past decade, I’ve taught at various studios, gyms, and wellness centers all over New England. I taught at Mighty Yoga, the Woodstock Inn & Resort Athletic Club, and the inclusive resort and spa, Twin Farms. Because my passion has also been to help recovering addicts, I taught yoga, meditation, and pranayama at Groups and Upper Valley Turning Point.

Services

In addition to teaching Gentle, Vinyasa, and Hot Yoga classes, I’ve held workshops and led yoga teacher trainee sessions. Topics include: Yoga & Aromatherapy; Yoga for Self-Care & Compassion; Secrets of the Chakras; Channeling The Inner Warrior; From Disconnection to Connection: Understanding Addiction; and more.

Teachers

I’ve had the pleasure of taking in-person workshops over the years with the following teachers:

Gabrielle Bernstein, Elena Brower, Kathryn Budig, Rebecca Campbell, Terri Cole, Seane Corn, Raphael Cushnir, Rolf Gates, Ellen Heed, Amy Ippoliti, Matt Kahn, Nikki Myers, Judith Orloff, Sarah Powers, Shiva Rea, Sharon Salzberg, David Swenson, and MC Yogi.

I also rely heavily on the written teachings of:

Melody Beattie, Danielle LaPorte, and Mark Nepo.
